The 'Cork Abolitionists Trail' was launched on the 22 July, honouring the life of abolitionist Frederick Douglass. Douglass was an abolitionist, social reformer, writer and statesman who became a leader in the anti-slavery movement following his escape from slavery.
Douglass visited Cork in 1845 to build support for the abolitionist cause and the trail traces his footprints across the City.
