Is Ireland Responding effectively to Human Trafficking?

The Department of Justice publishes an Annual Report on Human Trafficking which offers an overview of the countries efforts to counter the challenge. It explores the national statistics and represents the cases of Human Trafficking which The Gardaí have been made aware of. It proposes that each year, on average, 70 victims of Trafficking are identified by the State. However, many international bodies suggest that these statistics are not representative of realities.
